Help Migrants Access Mental Health Services

Since May, Colectivo CARE, made up of Integrative Healers Action Network (IHAN), Livity Rising, and Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB), has delivered 400 treatments to the farmworker community in the last 80 days! We are incredibly grateful to the wonderful dedication of our staff, volunteers and community partners that allow this work to continue to flourish. All clinics are free of charge and farmworkers and their families are able to choose between chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, ear seeds or any combination of the above.

Four out of five farmworkers and their families report significant reductions in both pain and stress as a result of these treatments. We are so grateful to be able to provide to those who work so hard for all of us to have the incredible selection of fruits, vegetables and nuts on our tables.

The farmworker community experiences inadequate nutrition, terrible living conditions and limited health insurance - the same workers who produce 1/3 of the vegetables, 2/3 of the fruits and nuts and 90% of all strawberries grown in the United States.(Statistics provided by the Center for Farmworker Families)

Our farmworker families deserve better!

The least we can do is to provide care for those who perform this backbreaking work, endure its pain, and the extreme stress to ensure food is on our tables.
