The Million Moms Challenge is off to a great start!
So far you have contributed a total of $45,414 to help provide transportation to carry pregnant women to a safe delivery, protect women and their children from neonatal tetanus, prevent mother to child HIV transmission, assist and train rural health workers and midwives, and so much more! Thank you so much for your support! We have sent most of your generous donations to our wonderful partners on the ground to help them continue the amazing work they’re doing.
This Friday at 10 PM ET, don’t forget to tune in to “Making Life: A Risky Proposition,” the eye-opening 20/20 Special with Diane Sawyer. Every 90 seconds, a woman dies during pregnancy or childbirth – yet experts say that more than 80% of these deaths are totally preventable if only the mothers-to-be received proper medical care. This Special will wrap up a year’s worth of programming – and giving – to address Global Health issues. Join us and learn more about the challenges faced by mothers in developing countries, as well as the low-cost, low-tech solutions your contributions are supporting that will help save millions of lives.
