After a tentative start that was dogged by Covid restrictions Westcliff Rotary launched their appeal lastSeptember. Online webinars, produced by enthusiastic presenters, helped our members enormously and we managed to attract over 70 donations. The Mushroom Theatre were overwhelmed by the donation they received which was manna from heaven in these difficult times.
Voluntary organisations have struggled to raise funds and, indeed, hold meetings so GlobalGiving has been a tremendous vehicle to help them through these times. They are experts in their field and there is much evidence to see that worthwhile projects, coupled with enthusiastic organisers, can cast a little ray of sunshine during these bleak times.
Mushroom Theatre will always welcome donations so our appeal is open ended. Helping children and adults less fortunate than ourselves; bringing a little joy to their lives is what Rotary is all about and having GlobalGiving to help has been a bonus.
Many thanks to all our donors and, if you can find time to dig deep again, we will always be grateful.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
