In Chedikho, many migrant and marginalized children lack education due to illegal status and unregistered births. With uneducated parents showing little interest in schooling, children often care for siblings or work on farms. Parents struggle to meet their children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Supporting this program will not only foster child development but also transform local churches into safe spaces, easing parents' burdens and ensuring a brighter future.
Thailand faces significant social challenges rooted in family instability, affecting children and youth living in economically and socially vulnerable conditions. In rural areas like Chedikho, marginalized and migrant children-many of whom are unregistered or lack legal status-are further deprived of education and care. These children often assume adult responsibilities, such as caring for siblings or working, while their uneducated parents struggle to support their children's development.
The project works alongside local churches and community leaders to provide safe after-school environments where children can learn, grow, and develop life skills. The program incorporates Christian-based lessons and fosters close mentorship between trained staff and children. Key components include safe spaces for after-school activities, nutritional support through meals, educational materials, transportation, field trips for real-world learning, parental training and economic empowerment.
Child Protection and Growth: Vulnerable children will be shielded from high-risk behaviors and guided to reach their full potential through education and skill-building. Moral and Spiritual Development: Children will internalize core values, ethics, and responsible behaviors through interactive, faith-based learning. Sustainable Family Transformation: Families will experience improvements in livelihood, parenting, and emotional well-being-leading to long-term resilience and reduced poverty.
