In the quiet streets of Egypt’s most marginalized communities, real change is beginning — one door, one family, one child at a time.
In partnership with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, we successfully have trained over 50 passionate community leaders to be the voices of hope and transformation. Armed with powerful tools and heartfelt messages, these leaders now walk from home to home, guiding families to better understand, monitor, and nurture their children’s growth and development.
This training equipped leaders with the skills and tools needed to deliver vital messages during their door-to-door family visits. More than just conversations, these visits became opportunities to educate, empower, and uplift entire communities.
The training centered around monitoring and evaluating children's development — a critical investment in Egypt’s future. Leaders learned how to recognize developmental milestones, spot early signs of challenges, and engage families in supporting their children’s health, education, and well-being.
By strengthening the capacity of those who are deeply embedded within their communities, Shamseya has ensured that the impact goes beyond awareness — it becomes action. These leaders are now catalysts for change, building bridges between families and essential services, and helping ensure that no child is left behind.
This is more than a program; it’s a movement toward a healthier, more resilient Egypt — one family at a time.
In a country where too many children are at risk of being left behind, these visits are life-changing. Parents are learning how to spot the early signs of developmental challenges. They are discovering how small actions — a word of encouragement, a moment of attention — can shape the entire future of a child.
With your support, we can reach thousands more families. Together, we can equip even more community heroes to light the way for Egypt’s children — and ensure that every child, no matter where they are born, has the chance to grow, thrive, and dream.
Help us build a brighter future — one child at a time.
