More than a ride, it’s been a voyage of sorts into new territory. I applaud the fantastic efforts of our team of Caregivers during this very different season of an extended school-from-home curriculum.
Our Caregivers play a critical role in the operation of the home providing around the clock supervision, guidance and support. With limited opportunities to interact with people outside of Casa Hogar our residents have developed deeper bonds with our staff members. The sweetness of this season continues and we are very grateful for the positive social atmosphere onsite.
This year we redeployed some staff members to further support academic requirements during the morning shift. The afternoon shift, starting at 2 pm, is more recreational but some small-group tutoring sessions are now in place to help our residents improve in fundamental areas of math, reading and writing.
Thank you for your continued support for the duration of our campaign. Please help us to reach our fundraising goal by contributing to the remaining balance and sharing with your social circle. Thank you.
