We did it - we reached our GlobalGiving pajama fundraising goal, thanks to you!
As we finish out 2022 in a few months, we have set our sites on 2023 and what we will need to do to serve 25,000 more children in foster care (over the past 10 years, we have helped over 185,000 children entering foster care!).
We hope that you will join us on this journey and that you will continue to find pajamas or any other important Comfort Cases item to underwrite.
Every item in our Comfort Cases is significant. A majority of children in foster care have been exposed to some form of trauma. However, the foster care system itself is not designed for healing. The very act of being put in foster care is traumatic in and of itself as it means the loss of their birth family and often friends, schoolmates, teachers, and everything that is familiar. Comfort Cases works to revolutionize the system by providing a sense of stability to children who may lack a solid support system and conveying to them that they matter to their community. At Comfort Cases, we believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of dignity and every child deserves to pack their belongings in a Comfort Case that they can call their own.
