Today we are going to share a story on how your compassion made a difference for one family in Nepal – a country of 31 million people.
Like many in Nepal, Anju’s diagnosis came when her cancer was too advanced for curative treatment to be effective. Thankfully her family were referred for palliative care at Hospice Nepal in Kathmandu during the last six weeks of her life.
Palliative care is holistic care – pain and symptom relief, spiritual and family counselling, and end-of-life care. It’s the compassionate care that you support through Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration.
You are helping ease the suffering of many in Nepal in need of such essential care not just at end-of-life, but also through the trajectory of patients’ illnesses.
Thank you from all of us at Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration, our partner organizations, and the families they care for!
