Today we are going to share a story on how your compassion has made a difference for one family in India – a country of 1.4 billion people.
For Hameeda’s family her birth came with life-threatening complications. At four-months-old, she came for palliative care at the Mandara Hospice for Children in Hyderabad. It meant a sense of calm for her parents Mohammed and Shireen as they came to terms with her diagnosis
Palliative care is holistic care – pain and symptom relief, spiritual and family counselling, and end-of-life care. It’s the compassionate care that you support through Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration.
You are helping ease the suffering of many in India in need of such essential care not just at end-of-life, but also through the trajectory of patients’ illnesses.
Thank you from all of us at Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration, our partner organizations, and the families they care for!
