"Training for life: the sport beyond movement" is an initiative of the Bola Pra Frente Institute that serves children and adolescents in socioeconomically vulnerable situations in Complexo do Muquiço, Rio de Janeiro.
The purpose is to analyze and improve the educational sport through movement, identifying points of improvement in the practice of the sport.
In this initiative, we promoted the "Bola Pra Frente, Meninas" project, which assisted girls between six and seventeen years old, residents of Complexo do Muquiço. The objective of the project is to promote the integral formation of girls using sport, technology and female empowerment as tools. The project serves the students, once or twice a week, through three stages:
1) "Etapa Empoderamento em Campo": Training stage that will cover the basic concepts and practices of football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, footvolley and handball worked on in the project through the methodology of educational sports.
2) "Etapa Formação Tecnológica (Chamando o VAR)": Training stage that will contemplate the interaction of the individual with a focus on virtual activities, where sport and movement will be the main thematic drivers of the proposed activities. In addition, during the activities of this stage, basic concepts for digital literacy will be addressed.
3) "Etapa Jogando no Campo Emocional": Training stage that will include a process of qualified listening and the enhancement of a support network, in order to develop skills and abilities focused on emotional intelligence in the participating public.
This process will include literature activities (with a focus on women's writing) and content that praise and empower the figure of women as a transforming agent in society.
The project is still in its initial phase and will present results shortly, with the studies of the diagnostic evaluation of the students.
