The growing environmental pollution is partly due to our own doing. We carry out development work without considering the effects of rapid industrialisation. In order to secure and safeguard our earth, there is only one solution: grow more trees. As a result, we will be able to breathe clean air and save ourselves from health hazards.
We should also take steps to counter deforestation. For a stable economy, the forest range of a country must be between 20 and 25 percent. But in our country the forest cover is less than 5 percent. It is essential that we act in a timely manner to increase the forest cover. Keeping this in mind, we are aiming to plant more and more trees in Karachi and not only that, we are training people how to do that too. The problem that occurs is that even if people want to do something towards this important cause, they don’t have enough knowledge how to do that so we decided that we should help people in this and because of which we have started to train people one by one of each step.
Planting a tree is a lifelong investment. How well this investment grows depends on the type of tree selected and the planting location, the care provided during planting, and the follow-up care after planting. Getting your new tree off to a healthy start will help the tree mature to its full size and ensures it will provide environmental, economic, and social benefits throughout its lifetime.
Ideally, trees are planted during the dormant season — in the fall after leaf drop or in early spring before budbreak. Weather conditions are cool and allow plants to establish roots in the new location before spring rains and summer heat stimulate new top growth. Healthy balled and burlapped or container trees, however, can be planted throughout the growing season if given appropriate care. In tropical and subtropical climates where trees grow year round, any time is a good time to plant a tree, provided that sufficient water is available.
We will keep sharing and trying because we have to live on this planet and so our generations and for that its important that we take a step. We are trying our best but we know that’s not enough and that’s why we want you, to all those reading this to make it a thing to do today and save our city, country, earth, our planet !!!
