The Power of Play has been donated a used playground for this project. This playground was in a school in West Kelowna BC, and got replaced by a brand new playground. Now instead of having this playground end up in the landfill we will refurbish and repurpose this playground to use it for our project.
We will use any elements that are reusable after refurbishing, and we will purchase the missing pieces.
The playground is currently stored in Merritt BC, about an hour away from the location. In next three weeks we will complete the refurbishing process and then we will ship the playground to the location.
Beside this playground and the additions, we will build the shade structure with sitting area, and some water feature.
