Families in rural Haiti are continuing to grow their own food, and now they are dealing with COVID.
We have a four phase plan for rural Haitians to deal with COVID:
1. Health awareness
2. Distribution of sanitary materials and PPE
3. Funding for food purchases during health crisis
4. Financial support to plant food producing gardens
To conserve resources and because many of the goals are similar, this project is being consolidated with "Help Families Grow Their Own Food in Rural Haiti" and is focusing on Phase 4. In this phase, the program will help 1000 members in approximately 30 organizations. Each member selected will get at least 10,000 gourdes. A set of criteria such as those most in need, people with market experience, and people with irrigated farmland will be put in place to determine which members will be given priority in the context of this phase of the program.
Anticipated Outcomes include increased food availability for rural Haitians.
