We gave away 65 goats in December!
By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
What an amazing day it was when our US team of nine visited a small village outside of Soroti, Uganda. We had raised enough funds to give the village 65 healthy pregnant goats. They were given to widows, orphans, or individuals with handicaps. These individules were selected by their tribal leaders. The entire village turned out for this grand event. Even those who were not recieving a goat. This is one of the most life giving projects we do in Uganda. It was a very special day. We plan to go back in 2024 and will hopefully will be able to give more goats away. Thank you for your amazing support.

More goats to be given in December
By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
We have a team going to Uganda right after Thanksgiving and one of the things we are looking forward to is visiting a village and giving a pregnant goat to a widow, orphan, or a person with a handicap. These events are always a time of great celebration in the village. Everyone turns out even if they are not receiving a goat. There is great joy. Then we share a meal with the villagers and there are several speaches. Someone from our team will be asked to tell them why we come and give goats away. Local government officials will be there, and our partner Ugandan NGO will share their thoughts. These goat celebrations are always a high point of our trips. There are 10 on our team and 4 have never been to Uganda before so this will be a special time for them.
Thank you for your support of this life giving project.

I just returned from Uganda!
By Michael Hildenbrand | Project Leader
Dear faithful donors,
I just returned from Ugnada after a three year absence due to Covid and Ebola. What a blessing it was to be back and among our Ugandan team mates. We traveled to major project areas to check on our various projects, We were able to make plans for our next goat distribution in November. This is where we give a pregnant goat to a widow, orphan, or a person with a handicap. I look forward to being back there in November/December to help with the distribution. Thank you for helping to fund this special project. We can always use more funds. It was also encouraging to see some substantial rains return to the area which should relieve some of the famine that they have suffered through for the past two or three years. We also visited a new school that we helped construct in a very remorte village in NE Uganda. We are on a roll.
Thank you for your support!
