Homework Assistance Proven Very Effective

By Angie Sullivan | Cofounder

Young Thai Girl Celebrates Penmanship Achievement
Young Thai Girl Celebrates Penmanship Achievement

One of the most effective aspects of the after school program at GRACE Family Resource Centers in Thailand is homework assistance. It doesn't sound grand but when provided for children of illiterate parents and guardians, recipients quickly advance in skills and knowledge.

Expressing praise and encouragement, the staff of GRACE provide assistance for children in all subjects of school. Young ones achieve confidence as staff celebrate their ability to hone the skills of penmanship as older children advance in reading comprehension, English language, computer, math and science skills. Achievements are celebrated and no child is reprimanded for delayed development.

Older children enjoy teaching the younger children. This provides another level of confidence while simultaneously building relationships with each other.

This is your support at work! We realize you cannot physically be at the after school program but you are making it possible to provide this incredibly vital aspect of educational support to the children of GRACE. Thank you!
