The Vocational and Secondary School is almost comp

Nyaka’s Vocational and Secondary School campus is almost complete! In 2018, Nyaka completed the construction of the Multipurpose Dining Hall and Kitchen. Over the last two years, Nyaka has been working to finish our Chemistry and Physics laboratory. This laboratory will provide the equipment and space necessary for students to continue developing their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills with the necessary materials. These facilities will be particularly important as Nyaka’s Robotics Club hosts an annual robotics camp where students from all over the country have the opportunity to learn essential skills like electrical wiring, website design, and computer programming. This lab will help provide students with the tools and confidence they need to compete for jobs after graduation.
The most recent construction includes a large fence around the Vocational Secondary School. Our goal is to ensure all enrolled and visiting students feel safe when they’re on campus. Although students are home due to Uganda’s mandatory lockdown measures, we want our students to be excited about returning to school. The safety, health, and happiness of the students is always our first priority.
Thank you for helping to provide the right resources and facilities for Nyaka students to thrive!

You are providing funds to build a Chemistry and Physics laboratory to complete the construction of Nyaka’s Vocational and Secondary School! These facilities will provide the equipment and space necessary for students to develop their practical skills and increase their knowledge in all matters STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Access to these facilities will set students up for success in secondary school and beyond.
With your continued support, students will continue learning and thriving and will have a competitive edge in Uganda’s crowded job market. Nyaka is already seen as a leader in technology and innovation-- we hosted our second annual Robotics Camp this year, giving 84 students from across the region the opportunity to learn essential skills like coding and website design. By expanding our STEM facilities, you are contributing to future camps and programming that will support even more students in the community!
When provided with the right resources and facilities, Nyaka students thrive. By continuing to fund the construction of these laboratories, YOU are ensuring that Nyaka students are receiving the best possible education. You are helping them to realize their full potential and to explore opportunities they might never have deemed possible. Thank you!

Take a SHOT at saving lives

Nyaka students receiving Measles immunization
You provide access to healthcare services in your community year-round. You provide HIV/AIDS testing, immunizations, medicine, dental services, family planning, and much more. Providing health care services allows Nyaka children to grow and learn in a healthy environment. Could you imagine being sick, but not having access to healthcare to get better? You allow students and grandmothers to receive the medical help they need quickly at no cost to them.
Before you sent nurses into your schools to give immunization shots to students, many students were getting sick and missing days of school. Those immunizations resulted in students getting sick less and missing fewer days of school. Every year students and their guardians are tested for HIV, helping us to catch the virus early. When a child or grandmother tests positive, you allow them to receive treatment. Treatment to helps to slow down or stop HIV from progressing into AIDS and decreases the likeliness that they’ll spread it to others.
By continuing to providing healthcare, YOU are extending the lives of members in the community. Thank you!
