Your NVSS students are in their second term at school, and they are having a great year so far thanks to you! You’re providing them with a quality education through core curriculum courses like English, Literature, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Geography, History, Commerce, Christian Religious Education, Fine Arts and Kiswahili. Your students who want to study a vocation currently have the options of Tailoring and Garment Cutting or Brick/Block Laying and Concrete Practice.
Students in the tailoring vocation love the new tools you’ve given them. Because of you, they have sewing machines, cutting tables, tailoring tools, and everything else they need to learn the art of sewing and garment design. They are learning how to make items such as ties, purses, shirts, pants, and dresses. You are putting them on the path to many great career options like fashion designer, sewing machine operator, patternmaker, and tailor.
Thanks to you, construction on the NVSS campus is almost finished. We have just one building waiting to be funded and built, which will house the Physics and Chemistry Labs. This building will further Nyaka’s goal of providing quality, hands-on learning in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Completing this building will inspire many of your students to pursue STEM fields including biology, chemistry, and physics. Someday, they will be the innovators who come up with the solutions that will change Uganda and the world—and it’s all because you chose to invest in them now!
Thank you for supporting NVSS and giving your students the chance to pursue their passions!
