Project Report | May 27, 2020
May 2020 Update

By Project G Team | Project G Team

While schools and organisations are closed during COVID-19, the Project G team has adapted as follows -

  1. Sewing workshop – We have continued our sewing workshop operations to ensure that our sewing team ladies have ongoing income to support their families
  2. Planning for the future – We have readjusted our educational workshop schedule to allow us to teach more students when schools and organisations reopen
  3. Educator training – We have used this time to train additional educators to enable us to teach more students when schools and organisations reopen
  4. Leadership handover – We have enacted our succession plan, allowing for a smooth handover of responsibilities to the next GM and AGM
  5. Repurpose educators – Our Project G team, along with other Project teams, have been trained on sharing COVID-19 information with villagers in the countryside and so far we have held COVID-19 workshops with over 3000 villagers, teaching them how the virus is transmitted, the risk to people and how to stay safe.
