It's been a busy three months and year for us. COVID-19 was an opportunity for poachers to break even more rules because of the motivation of money from the illegal rhino horn trade. Poachers are always increasing their game and are more and more determined to get at our rhinos.
Our team has a fleet of quad bikes and a 4x4 to allow quick armed response to poachers but our 4x4 is getting old. We found out that to keep our 4x4 safe and moving it needs a little TLC this festive season and it's such an important tool for us to protect our rhino's. Wth your generous donations we were able to fund getting this 4x4 fixd and back out on the reserve within days and it has already been called out many times.
This has been a savour for us but also made us aware that our old fleet is not going to last forever and therefore in 2021 we will begin fundraising to replace some of our emergency response controls.
