Hello Friends of the Hogar San José,
We are half way in our school year, and just enjoyed 2 weeks winter holidays.
The first half of the year went by smoothly, our girls are all enjoying their school days, making friends, healing past traumatic experiences, and learning to accept that a better life is possible.
A volunteer from the Hogar San José invited us to spend a day at her farm. It was the first time many of our girls saw animals first hand and rode on horseback!
Here are a few pictures that speak louder than words!
We did have a big problem with our natural gas pipes and we had to cut off the service for a few days to keep everybody safe until we fixed the gas installation. Since our house is almost 100 years old, it was quite an undertaking. Thanks to some benefactors of our home, we were able to pay what was needed to repair, and we now have some time to gather some funds and finish payments. All help is more than welcome!!!
Thank you for helping us help the girls!
