Provide STEM Magazines to Aspiring Women in STEM

This winter, Reinvented is grateful for you. We celebrated our first birthday on May 20th, 2020. Since then, we've published our fourth, fifth, and sixth issues, featuring women like Alyssa Carson: Martian in Training, Svetlana Quindt from Kamui Cosplay, and Dr. Carlotta Berry from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and highlighted real-world topics like bioengineering, wearable technology, and STEM inclusion. We wanted to show you the impact your support has made in 2020, not just for Reinvented, but across the globe.

We now have over 100 volunteers working hard every day to find fun new ways to inspire our young readers. We are reaching all 50 states (our final state was Wyoming, which we reached in September 2020!) and over 25 countries with our content. We are fulfilling our goal to be accessible to every reader, everywhere. Our One-for-One Program has continued to thrive. In 2020, over 1,500 magazines went to girls in low income and underserved areas, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Just to name a few, one set of donated magazines went home in summer reading bags in Minnesota, some went to students in Alaska, and even more, went to girls who weren't able to participate in in-person summer camps in California.

From November 9th, 2020 to January 4th, 2021, we hosted our annual Fall Fundraiser. As part of the GlobalGiving Fundraiser, Reinvented Magazine is donating copies of Issue 5 of Reinvented Magazine to a girl interested in STEM. The total amount raised through GlobalGiving for the Fall Fundraiser was over $2000. As a result, 497 copies of Issue 5 will be donated to girls across the country. The money donated by awesome supporters like you will also be used to cover printing costs of our upcoming magazine issues so we can continue inspiring girls to pursue STEM worldwide.

As Reinvented continues to grow, we would love your support! We have a packed first quarter: our virtual STEAM Dreamers, Byte-Sized, and Invent with Reinvented panels and workshops; Issue 7’s release where we are highlighting the next generation of STEM changemakers; and our Black History Month event in February and Women’s History Month event in March. We are always looking for more volunteers across all facets of the team: writers, artists, event planners, finance team members, and more!
