Happy Summer!
We are officially halfway through 2022 and it’s honestly been one of Reinvented’s best years yet!
Reinvented Magazine published our twelfth issue in June celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Department of Education’s Title IX legislation anniversary. And to keep the celebration going, we chose to make this digital issue free and open to anyone and everyone who wanted to read it (including you, so go check it out!) It includes a feature interview with one of NASA’s Directors of STEM Engagement as well as leaders from the Department of Education!
We’ve attended two more Princesses with Powertools events this past quarter: the Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire and Maker Faire Long Island. At the Bloomsburg Mini Maker Faire we saw 130 students and 88% of those visitors were Pre-K - 5 grade and 74% of them had never used a powertool before. At the Long Island Maker Faire we saw 161 visitors and 55% of them were in Pre-5 - 5 grade and 39% of them had never used a powertool before. Visit our social media for some fun photos from the events!
Finally, we announced our upcoming Space Gala: A Celebration of Women in STEM to be hosted at Kennedy Space Center’s Visitor Complex on Saturday, November 5th. We plan to light the rocket garden up pink and bring women in STEM together from all over the world to dance the night away and celebrate the empowering group of women we’ve worked with over the past few years.
Looking forward to the rest of this year, we already have two more princess events on the schedule, and you can stay up to date on where our princesses will be heading by visiting our Princesses with Powertools webpage. And, of course, stay tuned for future issues of Reinvented Magazine!
We truly could not have made this impact without your help and we are constantly grateful for the support you’ve continued to show our organization!
