Our school in India is the only place for miles around that is 100% dedicated to providing education to children regardless of their disability and this is made possible by you!
India is a very poor country and with millions of people living in poverty in the slums, we try our best to help those that have added costs to look after their children with mental or physical disabilities.
Thanks to your support, a professional physio returned to our school in January and has been funded to return weekly until 14 April. As she has been coming weekly to us she has been working with our children that have the most mobility issues. One of our new students is a little boy who has been working with the physio and with our very passionate and inspirational headteacher along for a few months now, he is now almost able to stand. However, we now need to fund a leg brace for him to take his next step. We need to raise $1,500 to buy this brace for this boy alone and so we have been actively fundraising.
We did however with your donations over the past 3 months fund a leg brace for Megha who also stopped walking due to lockdown and she is now doing great! We need another 2 braces after this one and then all our children will be mobile if they can be. This is a great thing for us to share and we thank you for supporting us
