What a year it's been! We are so sad to say goodbye to our first cohort of phenomenal Youth Policy Fellows. We celebrated their amazing work by honoring Kei, Samantha, Corey, Yesenia, Yang, and Nyasia at RAP's 10 Year Anniversary Celebration earlier this summer. They received the "Leaders of Today" award to commemorate all they have accomplished throughout the fellowship. Check out this excerpt from their acceptance speech:
"As youth leaders today, we engage ourselves in what we see is wrong, because these things aren’t being recognized by society. Programs such as RAP give youth the opportunity to be able to express themselves, as well as the issues in their communities.... Don’t doubt the small groups of people that will end up impacting the world in some way. We are here to make history and stay woke in this period of change within our society."
After the amazing success of our inaugural year of the Youth Policy Fellowship, we are SO excited to be recruiting for another year of impact! If you or any young people you know are interested in creating change in their community, please help us spread the word by sharing the application.
