Hi again,
When we last reached out we shared the news - Ocean Blue has officially recovered more than 1 million pounds of oceanic waste as of January 31, 2023!
While winning feels fantastic, the Ocean Blue Team feels more motivated than ever to reach our new goal to remove 5 million pounds of plastic from U.S shorelines and ocean bound waterways. And we're doing it by boat in the Chesapeake Bay.
Ocean Blue's founder + director, Richard Arterbury, is assessing the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay by boat to learn exactly where and how Ocean Blue can make the most impact possible. We understand Chesapeake's waters are faced with many pollutants including the debris Ocean Blue is after, and with a full assessment we will develop and implement a strategic plan to tackle the debris to reach our new goal of 5 million pounds of plastic + debris!
