Uganda is Africa's largest refugee-hosting country.
Spread out within the country, there are 13 refugee settlements where men, women and children come from neighbouring nations looking for safety and hope. They come from South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, Eritrea, Burundi, Sudan, Ethiopia and other nations.
The numbers of refugees in Uganda continue to rise.
Right now, there are over 1,700,000 refugees in Uganda.
I Live Again Uganda is on the ground with a passionate team ready to bring healing, hope and restored identity. We do this through our Empower Trauma Counseling Program. Here is what Jennifer had to say after coming to the program daily for 2 weeks:
"I lost my relatives during the war and fled to Uganda for safety. Life is not the same. Life is hard but I am so thankful that we are safe here. I would spend a lot of time thinking about the past and the death of so many of my family members back in South Sudan because of the war. I Live Again Uganda encouraged me to think of my future. They encouraged me to have a vision for my life. I have a vision now - I have hope for my future. After the Trauma Counseling Program, I feel so much lighter. I feel at peace and not worried anymore." - Jennifer-Beneficiary
We are so thankful that Jennifer is excited about her future! Thank YOU for being a part of her story through you compassion and generous giving.
Thank you for being a part of the journey to healing, hope and identity!!
