Progress Report on the Emmanuel Family

By Titi Lawal | President

The Emmanuel family is excited and elated; and for a great reason! Thanks to our donors and Hope Rising Homes Foundation (HRHF) management, the family will be moving into a two-bedroom self contained apartment in September 2017. The three school aged children are registered for school and will also be starting in September. Mr. Emmanuel will be taking possession of a brand new rickshaw moped (Keke Maruwa) in October which will generate revenue and provide a viable employment for him.

Over the past three months, the HRHF administrator has visited the family twice with monthly supplies including food items, health and hygiene products and conducted welfare checks on all the family members. During the most recent visit on August 7, the family was provided a standing fan to alleviate the heat in their current make-shift dwelling. As the most recent pictures show, there is a vast improvement in the demeanor and countenance of the members. Indeed, hope has risen for the Emmanuels!

The apartment rental cost including furniture and furnishings is approximately 600,000 Naira ($1,900) and the cost of school preparation for the children including uniforms, shoes, and school supplies is approximately 200,000 Naira ($650).
