On March, 2023, Rehabilitation Center located in Wasosze (Poland) was visited by special guests – Sandrina da Cruz, Director of Disaster Response, Yuliya Brodska, Ukraine Grants and Partnerships Consultant, Disaster Response Team and Kristin Wright, Senior Public Relations Manager with the Marketing and Communications team. These three wonderful ladies work for GlobalGiving.
Doctor Piotr Janaszek’s Foundation PAY IT FORWARD team presented daily tasks happening in Rehabilitation Center, including activities for children who take part in relief care project and multiple forms of rehabilitation. Hard work didn’t stop for a moment. Our guests also learned about the history of the Foundation and its areas of operation and tried to talk to each of the project managers at least for a moment. After the official and presentation part of the meeting it was time for a little snack and individual, face to face conversations.
Among the participants there were families from Ukraine which are under our care. They shared their stories, talked about the hardships they had to face and the huge solace they've felt after getting here safely. Mouth watering goods made by Amelia and Sergiej's guitar concert guaranteed a wonderful mood. What's more, the story of three strong women, Ela, Emilia and Marzena, associated with our Foundation has been written down in the form of an interview. These few hours together passed very quickly and we had to say goodbye to our guests. However, we hope that they will visit us again in the near future!
Thanks to the help of donors from around the world and GlobalGiving, we are providing care for disabled refugees from Ukraine and their families, as well as rehabilitation and therapy at the Rehabilitation Center.
