Today is a very special day for Dennis, he is going to the first grade. The only difference between him and his peers is that Dennis is using hearing aids. Besides that, he is just as active and as curious as his classmates. Thanks to our project, following rehabilitation, 120 children with cochlear implants and hearing aids joined the first grade at regular schools instead of enrolling into learning centers for children with disabilities.

Little Pavel from Severodonetsk received his implants when he was 11 months old. He went through rehabilitation at our “Dachny” camp at the age of 3, and completed 2 rehabilitation on-line sessions. This work made it possible for him to go to the first grade this September.

We have many more similar stories that inspire us and give us the drive to continue supporting children experiencing hearing issues through rehabilitation and training. I hope our sponsors feel the same way.

Currently our Fund is preparing for our next online training session, as 60 more children with hearing issues from all over Ukraine are waiting their turn to go through rehabilitation. In October we plan to conduct 2 more online sessions.
