It has been three months since we welcomed 24 children with hearing and speech problems, who underwent cochlear implantation surgery, and their parents in the rehabilitation camp “Verba”.
Thanks to camp’s specialists, children learned new communication skills, while their parents learned how to communicate with and support the little ones through a lengthy rehabilitation process.
Now that our first rehabilitation camp is over, children continue their learning with their parentsandspecialists, following custom training programs developed during the camp events.
Today children already tell apart understand the sounds, pronounce their first words and compose first sentences. In a few years they will be able to communicate fluently and go to regular schools.
We want to express our great thanks to all the donors and volunteers who joined our project! Without you, we could not achieve such results.
Our project continues, as 150 more children, waiting for the opportunity to go through post-surgery rehabilitation program, need our help.
We are already organizing our next rehabilitation camp, which we plan to hold in March 2018 to make even more children healthy and happy!
We will be very grateful for your continued support!
