La Serenissima's first ever crowdfunding campaign to raise money to launch new recording Vivaldi x2 has gone fantastically well and we are so grateful to everyone who has got on board and supported this initiative. We really couldn't have done it without your help.
We were the first charity (from more than 500 organisations) to Graduate from the Global Giving March Accelerator, securing more than 40 donors and $5000 on Day 1 of the campaign.
Since then, we have consistently been ranked amongst the top 3 organisations with the highest donor count during the 3 week campaign. This puts us in the running to receive a bespoke social media advertising campaign, tailored to our needs, to help us reach new networks. We're therefore keen to emphasise the significance of every unique donor to our project. If existing supporters can help us to reach new donors at this stage, it's worth reminding friends that it only takes £5 to help us secure this opportunity for the charity.
With less than 3 days until the Accelerator ends (Midnight EST on Friday 30 March) we are working hard to raise the remaining money needed to release Vivaldi x2 worldwide. We are so close to the finish line and reaching our target would also put La Serenissima in line for additional funding of $1000+. So at this stage, every donation helps!
It's been wonderful to feel supported by new donors to our charity and also to reconnect with existing Patrons and other major donors through the crowdfund. We have been overwhelmed by the number of donations made by musicians actually performing on this record and also by musicians who regularly work with La Serenissima but who didn't perform for this particular project; this kind of solidarity has been truly exceptional. In fact, it's worth saying that nearly 15% of all UK donations made to the project have come directly from the musicians themselves. We hope this speaks volumes!
We are enormously proud of the work that we do. La Serenissima is unique in bringing ground-breaking research and world-class performance involving popular and completely unknown music from 18th century Italy to audiences worldwide. We strive to make our work available to everyone because we believe this music uplifts the soul.
Thank you for helping us to further our mission through this project. Welcome to the La Serenissima family!
