As the year comes to a close, we’re filled with excitement for what’s ahead—and gratitude for everything we’ve achieved together. Before diving into the new year, let’s take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come as a community committed to making a difference around the world.

In 2024, we expanded our “Support for Self-Reliance through Charcoal Making” program, with a new vocational training facility almost complete. Also, our street children empowerment project, which began in 2021, is nearing its conclusion, with our last batch of students nearing their graduation. In March 2024, we’ll celebrate the achievements of all of our graduates with a workshop, marking the successful end of this transformative three-year initiative.

Our mission is powered by the incredible people we serve—but it’s YOU who make it all possible. Your support helps dreams take flight and creates a safe, welcoming space for those in need. Because of you, we can dream bigger, reach higher, and work harder every day.

Meet the inspiring members of Avana Marimwe, a beekeeping group in Burundi with a powerful message:

“We have lived through conflict, and we know that without peace, beekeeping—or any livelihood—is impossible. For us, beekeeping means living in peace. By selling honey, we can improve our lives, raise goats and cows, and provide education for our children. It’s challenging work, but together as a group, we make it possible.”

Their honey, called Amahoro Honey—which means "honey of peace"—symbolizes their hope for a brighter, peaceful future. Through their honey business, the members of Avana Marimwe are building self-reliance and sustaining peace in their community.
