Dear Esteemed Donors,
We are once again honored to share with you the progress made in our ongoing humanitarian relief efforts in Somalia. Your continued generosity is transforming lives and bringing hope to communities severely impacted by the ongoing drought and food crisis.
With deepest gratitude, we thank you for your compassion, trust, and unwavering support. It is because of you that our team has been able to reach those in dire need and provide life-saving assistance where it is most needed.

Progress in Relief Efforts
Since our last report in January, we have successfully continued the distribution of essential food supplies to vulnerable families across the most affected regions, including Lower Juba, Bay, and Mudug. With the resources provided.
These food packages were delivered to over 550 households, providing critical relief to approximately 3,000 individuals, including children, widowed mothers, the elderly, and internally displaced families.
Every item distributed helped to reduce hunger and malnutrition and brought renewed dignity to households struggling to survive in the face of the escalating climate crisis.
Challenges and Continued Needs
While significant progress has been made, the humanitarian situation remains alarming. Our efforts are increasingly challenged by:
• Severe inflation and rising food prices
• Flood-damaged infrastructure limiting access to remote areas
• An increasing number of displaced families and orphans
• Insufficient funding to expand our operations into new critical zones
These obstacles underscore the importance of sustained donor engagement and flexible support.
Our Call to Action
Your past contributions have saved lives—but the crisis is not over.
We continue to call upon your partnership and ask for your help to:
• Provide food and nutritional support to an additional 2,500 families
• Reach remote villages and IDP camps with emergency relief
• Support pregnant women and children under five at high risk of malnutrition
• Advocate for long-term solutions to protect the rights of vulnerable populations
Together, we can move from crisis response to community resilience.
A Future of Hope and Solidarity
At HRDC, we remain steadfast in our mission to uphold the dignity and rights of every individual affected by disaster. Your generosity is helping us not only feed families today, but also invest in a future where they can rebuild their lives with strength and dignity.
We are inspired daily by the resilience of the Somali people—and deeply thankful to donors like you who make this work possible.
From all of us at HRDC, thank you for being a vital part of this mission. Together, we are changing lives.
With heartfelt appreciation,
HRDC Team
