Let's make the world healthier together!

OCTOBER 2022

Our wellness program is working very successfully thanks to your continual support. Since July 2022 till today our school has provided more than 6,938 free nutritious meals to our community. We provided 122 pairs of glasses to children whose eyesight was compromised. Our doctor attended 97 preventive treatments for our students and their families. We held vaccine appointments to protect our students with COVID19 vaccinations delivered in our school. Our teachers have been giving cooking classes to primary and secondary students. Some of our graduate students have been attending agriculture workshops so they can teach what they learn to the secondary students in 2023.

In the psychology program our psychologist has been holding sessions and interviews with the parents. According to the psychologist’s evaluation of primary students, workshops that teach kids to set boundaries with their bodies were needed as soon as possible. She started working in every classroom beginning with the youngest ones. Art therapy, storytelling and role playing were used for the workshops called “I'm important and my body belongs to me”. Since this workshop was so successful it's planned to be held with all the students in primary.

Our psychologist also gave other workshops for teenagers regarding mental health and problem resolution, to reach better teamwork and peaceful collective coexistence. Teenagers are starting to understand the need and benefits of psychological therapy. The new area for the psychology clinic is coming soon where play and art therapy is going to be reinforced. Proudly we can say that thanks to your support we are the only school in the district that offers our students these kind of innovative methods for free.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE TO HELP THESE KIDS IN THE WAY THEY DESERVE WITHOUT THE INCREDIBLE SUPPORT WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM OUR FAITHFUL DONORS. WE THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!
