Thank you for your generous contribution to the Rohingya Refugee Relief Fund. Donations to this GlobalGiving fund continue to make a difference for Rohingya as they experience violence, sudden onset disasters, and uncertainty.

Since our last update, we have made three emergency grants to high-impact, community-led nonprofit organizations, all thanks to your support. Our partner organizations work across Bangladesh, with a focus on Cox’s Bazar, the largest Rohingya refugee camp in the world.

These financial resources are vital as Rohingya face increasingly limited access to basic needs like food and healthcare amid drastic cuts to foreign aid

Here is a short description of some of the critical work you’ve supported:

  • Hope Foundation for Women & Children is delivering lifesaving healthcare to women and children across Rohingya refugee camps within Bangladesh, including Cox’s Bazar, actively preventing major disease outbreaks by distributing masks, water purification tablets, soaps, and prenatal vitamins. When resources allow, the Hope Foundation team also offers food to pregnant women, critical care for newborns, and treatment for patients with complex health issues.
  • Disable Development & Educational Foundation is serving Rohingya refugees with disabilities, providing medical care, mental health support, food, assistive devices, and other supplies. They continue to provide critical programming and support during increased need for the often overlooked and underfunded disability community.
  • Mobile Mini Circus for Children (MMCC)is providing an important service to children: fun, entertainment, and play! Their exciting Circus of Hope offers engaging and playful opportunities for learning, social development, trauma therapy, art, and fun. More than 500,000 children living in Cox’s Bazar are experiencing hunger, poor living conditions, violence, and a lack of educational opportunities, making any chance to experience joy and play invaluable.

Your generosity continues to fuel community-led efforts that address both the immediate and long-term needs of the Rohingya people, even as lasting solutions remain out of immediate reach.

Thank you for standing with us and for standing with the Rohingya people.

With immense gratitude,

Heather + GlobalGiving Team

About GlobalGiving’s Disaster Response

When a disaster strikes, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often overlooked and underfunded. GlobalGiving is changing this reality. Since 2004, we've been shifting decision-making power to crises-affected communities through trust-based grantmaking and support.

We make it easy, quick, and safe to support people on the ground who understand needs in their communities better than anyone else.

They were there long before the news cameras arrived, and they’ll be there long after the cameras leave. They know how to make their communities more resilient to future disasters, and they’re already hard at work. GlobalGiving puts donations and grants directly into their hands. Because the status quo—which gives the vast majority of funding to a few large organizations—doesn’t make sense.
