Uganda had the longest school closures in the world, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, today, there is hope!
On January 10th, our Rukundo Preparatory School staff welcomed our students back to in-person learning, for the very first time in almost two years. We hope our student’s smiles say it all, because we don’t have the words to adequately say THANK YOU. Your support kept us afloat during these most challenging times, allowed us to support our staff and students during the extended lockdown, and empowered us to re-open our doors earlier this month.
While many other schools closed their doors permanently and laid off their teachers, we were able to continue providing education and services for our students and their families. In addition, thanks to a generous grant and your donations, we were also able to continue construction at Rukundo Preparatory School during the extended school closures.
As we say goodbye to another challenging year, we want to take a moment to reflect on our many blessings.
2021 “TOP 10” ACHIEVEMENTS:
And countless thanks for your support!
We are looking forward to making up for lost time in 2022, and we hope you will join us! From all of us to you: Happy New Year! We hope 2022 brings you peace, health, and prosperity.
