This campaign is ongoing. We have distributed seed crops and 500 economic trees to rural farmers.
The beneficiaries are made up of women and youth. It will help restore degraded land and strengthen the livelihood and food security in the affected community.
We offered training and other technical assistance to the farmers in collaboration worry the Department of Agroforestry of the FCT FARDAMA project in Nigeria. .
We have secured 500 economic trees to be distributed soon to areas and families not covered. Apart from farming, we are providing vocational skills to help families diversify their income sources.
This effort goes a long way, reducing over-dependence on local natural resources for survival and creating local jobs.
