God's faithfulness

God has been faithful to our children at HRHF and we are very grateful.

Children's day 27th of May 2002 was spent outdoor at Funland Park. The children had fun, participated in different games like train rides, horse rides, swings, boat ride and slides. There were different types of food, ice cream, popcorn and candies to eat.

The children had their midterm test during the first week of June 2002 and they all did excellently well. Skylight school and Meilleur school had their open day on the 8th of June 2 0 0 2. The children had their midterm break on the 9th and 10th of June 2002.

HRHF's children had their measles vaccination (vitamin A) at their school on the 20th of June 2002. The vaccines were well tolerated by all the children with no reactions.

The child protection unit officers visited the home on the 19th of July 2002, they checked the children's files for proper documentation, Inspected inside and the surroundings of the home for safety and general wellbeing of the children. At their exit's discussion with the social worker and other staff that were present at the home, the officers highly commended the social worker and staff for job well done and to keep up the good work. They were really impressed with their findings.

The children at Meilleur schools had their End of third term party on the 21st of July 2002. The children participated in the rhyme’s recitation. They had food and drinks and were given 5 big food warmers as gifts. They were given school report cards and 4th term's invoice for school fees.

Inner-city mission invited the orphanage for their maiden edition of orphanage support network global conference which took place on the 26th of July 2002. The children were given a bag of rice, garri, tins of milo and milk.

HPCH"s social worker was at an event for all orphanages called "CAFO" collaborate Lagos, the event was all about orphanages coming together to discuss the way forward for the betterment of the children at orphanages. It was held at youth Hall of fountain of life ilupeju on the 26th of July 2002. The discussions were centered on the children.

Inner-city mission came to the home on the 30th of July 2002 to install their dish and decoder for the children to watch children's educational programs and other programs of their choice that are appropriate for their ages.

The children's schools resume back for a new session on the 5th of September 2002.

We are making progress.

We are using this medium to let you our donor understands, that without your generous donation their will not be Hope Rising Homes Foundation (orphanage) and we know what that will do to the children in our care. It is because of you that we can fulfill our mission and our commitment to the children in the home. AS a result, we are saying a big thank you and the Lord will continue to provide for you too. You shall never lack anything good.

This 2022 started on good note with all our children.

We have established a quarterly training for our care givers, to improve their care skills, close monitoring of the children and to make sure they are never out of sight during church services & outings. “Their safety is our priority”.

HRHF, is law abiding organization and we shall continue to follow the state regulations, it also benefits our children. On the 3^rd of February, 10^th of February 24^{th and 26th}of February 2022, four of our children were present in court as it was previously scheduled to monitor their status, if there is an update about their family, growth, and care. This occurs every quarter for all the seven children in the home on different days.

On the 14^th of February 2022, Golden Crown Academy Visited the children to celebrate valentine’s day with them, also a family visited to celebrate son’s

birthday, brought some food, biscuit & Drinks for the children for the celebration.

On the 16^th of February 2022, the Mellieur school held their PTA. A lot of issues were discussed, issues like:

ü Children should be brought to school early.

ü The school authority should be informed on who picks the child up from school to avoid missing of a child.

ü Parents should make sure they put food in their children’s food flask and if buying it out there, it should be well protected etc.

The issues that were addressed at the PTA were used with the care giver, inform of a training for improvement.

This same day 16^th of February was the children at skylight school inter house sport which was held at command school command B/stop. The children had fun and represented their various houses in the competition.

There were couple of birthday celebration in the home in the month of March 2022.

On the 10^th of March 2022, we were at the court for one of the children, but the magistrate was not on seat, the child was given another date 31^st of March 2022.

This is one of the challenges we face regarding the children going to court. Cancelation and rescheduling of dates, happens too often, also happened in February and we will not get to know until we arrived in court. Transportation wise, it is costing us a lot of money. Thank you for your continuous support. On the 31^st of March, we were in court with the child, her mother’s relatives came to court, her grandma’s elder – Sister with her grandma’s younger brother. They came around with pictorial evidence (Family pictures) and we got updates about her other siblings at a home in Lekki.

Cultural day of Meilleur school children was also held on the 31^st of March 2022. The children attended the event and were well dressed in Iro and Buba representing Lagosian. They were happy and very excited with their outfits.

On behalf of our founder, the board of trustees, our staff, and the children at Hope Rising Homes Foundation, thank you so much for your support. Without you, we would not be able to constantly work to improve the lives of the children. We all truly appreciate your donation and constant support for our organization. Your support is the greatest gift we could receive as we attempt to create a better world for vulnerable and at-Risk children.

REPORT ACTIVITIES

On the 5^th of August , the children attending Meilleur best children school, had their school party (End of the session party). It was fun, they were given gifts for being one of the best student (2 pots and 2 dishes with cover lids).

Our children that attends Skylight school and Meilleur best children school officially went on holiday on the 5^th of August 2021. The children learnt new things during their holiday. They got to learn about eating habits, importance of greeting, praying before eating and academics generally.

On September 30^th a group of students from Statu school visited the home, they met the children, they came to celebrate the independent season with the children and also got more enlightened about the children living in an orphanage. They all learnt a new thing back to their school. They brought gifts and food items for the children.

October 1st was Nigeria Independence Day. The children were home, they celebrated the independence day by praying for Nigeria. We all did a little artwork together using a cardboard and marker to design the Nigeria flag. We had pictures, videos and a special delicacy to mark the day.

The children started their mid term test on Thursday 21^st of October and ended on Wednesday 27^th of October. They vacated for midterm break on the 29^th of October. They had a one week midterm break, they enjoyed.

The caregiver and the children were present at this year’s orphans days which took place at the youth hall of Fountain of Life Ilupeju. On the 8^th of November. The children and founders were entertained by children from different homes. Every home in Lagos State were represented.

Our children are all doing excellently well in their accedemics, health wise and in their social activities. Looking foward to Chiristmas celebration by the grace of God.
