Help Educate Women & Girls in Afghanistan

You matter to the girls at this school. Winter break just ended and much to our surprise as the doors are opening, a new but exciting problem presented itself: we don't have enough room for the number of girls who want to go to school. The number of younger children who came to the front doors with their mothers asking to attend school exceeded expectations. We need to respond. The classes are more crowded then ever and we will find the room while desiging -- over time -- expansions of the current rooms. This means more desks and texts. Your support is crucial. 

Our team on the ground used the time to continue repairs to the school building and proceeded with the installation of the computer center. Administration officials remain wildly enthusiastic about the center and community endorsement of providing the girls with computer literacy is equally enthusiastic. 

Your donor dollars will also help with ongoing repairs needed at the school including: the reinforcement of the roof after a difficult winter that created pooling of water and resulting mold; enhancement of latrines and the pathways to the latrines from the school buildings as well as the increasing the height of the security wall surrounding the school.
