Venezuelan children live in very vulnerable conditions. They are often victims of physical and sexual abuse and because of malnutrition and lack of inmunizations health problems are also present. All of these deficiencies also manifest themselves in psychological and learning development delays.
Acknowledging this reality and thanks to the donations received we are able to offer integral attention to venezuelan kids and teenagers that lack an stable and harmonious surrounding. Specifically during the july - august 2020 term, an average of 153 kids and adolescents were attended through preventive actions and medical treatments to regain their health.
Among our achievements we may highlight:
28 check ups for healthy kids
307 medical evaluations for sick kids: infections, colds, fever, diarrhea, digestive problems among others.
9 reports for kids deprived from their original family that were assigned to our institution.
58 vaccine doses (Pneumococcus, Hepatitis A, Varicela, Influenza, Adacel, Menactra, Twinrix, Rotavirus)
3 alert reports for possible COVID-19 infection.
15 kids with medical and nutritional evaluation due to allergies, lactose and gluten intolerance and constipation.
Even though the Venezuelan situation is very complex, we still manage to use the funds collected in the most efficient way. We profoundly appreciate the support given in benefit of the kids and teenagers, victims of poverty and family abandonment.
