You have helped us feed our animals!

As you all know, Cheetah Experience is a public benefit organisation. This means that we rely on the public to keep our project going. These donations can go from money, to useful goods, but one of our most important donations are meat donations. Unfortunately, we haven't got a lot of meat donations lately, which is why we've had to buy meat for our animals. With most of our animals eating meat, it obviously takes a lot to get all of them fed. This is why we've used your donations to buy much needed food for our animals.
Another way your donation was used, has been to look after our alpha wolf Shakira. She hasn't been eating very well so we sedated her and did some blood tests. These showed Shakira suffers from pancreatitis and on top of that, her kidneys have begun to struggle a little bit as well. Unfortunately, this comes with older age so there's not much we can do about it. She is still bright and howling with Nikita so for now, we are keeping her comfortable and making sure she's not suffering. Thanks to your donation, we are able to give her the best life quality possible.

You helped us with the care of Faith!
By Riana Van Nieuwenhuizen | Project Owner and Founder
![Our girl Faith]()
Our girl Faith
Faith, our 6 year old cheetah female, broke her toe while roaming her enclosure. Fortunately, we were planning to bring her up to the University of Pretoria to get some tests done to check her for gastritis as she has had recent digestive issues. We loaded Faith in the car and took her all the way to Pretoria, where she had a biopsy and a CT scan. Her toe was also stitched up while she was under.
Faith's test results were very positive and showed that Faith is in great condition. Her toe took a while to heal, but she had babysitters around the clock to look after her and make sure she wasn't using her foot too much, giving it some time to heal.
As you all know, medical procedures are very expensive. Thanks to your donations, we were able to get Faith fully checked out and have her toe fixed. Once again, we would like to emphasise how much your support means to us, because without you, we wouldn't be able to look after our animals. So on behalf of Cheetah Experience, we would like to thank you very much for believing in us!

We have successfully released one of our cheetahs!
By Riana Van Nieuwenhuizen | Project Founder and Owner
![Jasmin at Kuzuko]()
Jasmin at Kuzuko
From the day Riana founded Cheetah Experience, her dream has always been to see her animals in the wild. However, releasing an animal requires a lot of time, effort and money. For this reason, we are proud to finally inform you that we have successfully released one of our female, adult cheetahs.
Jasmin was born and raised at Cheetah Experience. On the 29th of August 2018, she moved to a National Park in South Africa, called Kuzuko. She was initially kept in a smaller holding boma inside the park. A month later she underwent a soft release into a 300 ha. camp. Only 8 days after being released into the bigger camp, she made her first kill. Jasmin has been hunting ever since, with many hunts being succesful.
In other words, Riana's dream finally came true. And her dream doesn't end here. There is much more to be done. As said before, releasing an animal costs a lot of money. And this is exactly the reason why we have to thank every single one of you. This wouln't have been possible without your support and we are so grateful that you made this possible for us and the animals. Every bit helps and together we can work on a better future for these animals!
