Many people have no idea of the huge numbers of dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, farm animals, and birds that end up in animal shelters. Many of these poor beings do not make it out alive because the numbers of them are staggering and far exceed the number of potential adopters. The rescues cannot take them all, and if they are not adopted before their time is up, they are euthanized. You can help by being a responsible pet owner and by supporting your local rescue groups who are actually out there in the trenches helping as many of these creatures as they can. Like us, they are out there doing this work right now in your area. All of us need your help and support.
We have recently attended three major adoption events in our area and are very grateful for the number of adoptions we were able to accomplish. While the major thrust for these events is adoption, we also delight in providing information, education, and hands on contact with birds. We are sharing with you some of the more touching photos from our last three adoption events here. We were very fortunate to find homes for a number of birds, but the number of birds still needing homes is a very large number. Please, if you would like to adopt a bird, contact us. If you would like to foster a bird, contact us. If you can help with transport, contact us. If you can be a baby bird caregiver, contact us. If you can provide financial support, please donate here on GlobalGiving.
Thank you in advance for your continued support. We are very grateful for your help.
