Greetings from the Maruki Gallery for the Hiroshima Panels!
On November 23, we held a talk event and unveiled our renovation plans for the gallery. In the event. In the event, the architects who are in charge of the renovation shared their plans. Then our guest speakers, Mizusawa Tsutomu, Director of the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama, and Uchiyama Akira, an architect, shared their views on the plans.
Currently, we are also holding a special exhibition to present our renovation plans using models and other materials.
The restoration work of the Hiroshima Panels (II): Fire continues to be under way at the Institute for Conservation of Cultural Property Aichi University of the Arts. The work is scheduled to continue until 2025.
We will send you our annual report before the holidays. We hope to share our activities held at the gallery in 2023, as well as our progress in fundraising and details on our renovation plan.
