As you know, Greenhill Humane Society is planning an expansion! We are building a state-of-the-art shelter and veterinary medical clinic that will greatly increase the level of care that we can provide to our community’s homeless, lost and neglected animals. This new facility is going to leave a positive impact for decades to come. You’ve helped get us part of the way, and we’re so excited to update you on our progress.
With your help, we have raised $1,900,000 towards our $5,600,000 goal! We still have a long ways to go, but the good news is that we just need $500,000 more to ensure that we can break ground on the first phase of the project this Spring. If we raise just a bit more, we can start building the new dog housing and care facility which will increase our ability to provide high-quality care to the dogs in our shelter. This new, stress-free housing will have space for dedicated medical care and quarantine as well as behavioral care and training for the dogs.
We are confident that with your help, and the help of others, we will reach our goal and be able to provide a higher level of care for the animals in need as well as the people connected to them. As you know, Greenhill Humane Society is recognized as one of the top charities in our local community, and it is recognized nationally as well. We are a gold-level participant with GuideStar, indicating our commitment to transparency. And, for the 5th year in a row, we have received the highest 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, an independent charity watchdog organization that evaluates charitable organizations in the United States.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible new direction for the animals in our community. Our ability to provide care for homeless, lost, and neglected animals is possible because of the donations that help purchase food, vaccinations, and pay for medical and behavioral care. This project, this expansion that will enhance the level of care that we can provide to the animals for decades to come, is only possible because of the support of special individuals and foundations who provide the funds to build the necessary facilities.
We are well on our way to making this a reality. We’ll keep you updated on our progress!
