PROJECT/PROGRAM UPDATE

  • Activities of this month:

This month, the lesson was from the Superbook curriculum about Lazarus teaching how to spend quiet time and personal time with God everyday to become closer to God. They learned about spending time to praying, reading the Bible to know God more, learning of God’s love, and knowing God’s plans in their lives. The children then separated into groups to learn about how to get better grades at school from interviewing the children’s moderator team.

  • Ministry results:

The children learned about spending time with Jesus and the miracle that Jesus performed to Lazarus who rose from the dead.

  • Changes seen:

The children have shown great responses and cooperation with the activities. They were able to recite the bible verse and understood it.

  CURRENT PROJECT/PROGRAM OBJECTIVES/GOALS:

Hello, my name is Pa (Nickname). I am 11 years old and studying in grade 4 at the Ban Nam Hu School. I am from the Pao tribe. I live with my grandmother who is 60 years old and my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephew/niece. My grandmother works on daily wages and would only work if there are any jobs available. Normally, she would work for the Chinese people in the village, but on other days where there is no job, she would stay at home and peel garlics. Every kilo of garlic that she peels is 8 Baht. My grandmother says that it’s better than not having any income at all and to stay frugal. I have been joining the activities at the Saturday school for almost a year. It was my friends who invited me to join, and my grandmother gave me the permission to join. Last year, Covid started spreading in the village, so we would come by village on different weekends. At that time, I was so bored because I was on a school break and my grandmother didn’t allow me to go out. So, I helped my grandmother to take care of my nephew/neice. The lesson that I learned this month was about spending time with God and having a quiet time with Him. Hence, I started doing it at home because I already have a Bible. After doing it, I truly know that God is real and I’m confident because God had answered my prayer. That time, I was playing with my friends and I lost the money that my grandmother asked for me to buy food to bring back home. I didn’t know where I lost it and I was very worried and scared because it was the money that my grandmother gave to me and I was irresponsible in losing it. I didn’t know what to do, so I prayed to God. Then, I went to the shop where the sold food and the seller said that she had picked up my purse because she remembered that it belonged to me. Praise God for answering my prayers!
