Thank you for the addition of 11 more children to the Saturday School Program. This is a result of announcements made during the Christmas outreach event in the community.
Significant Life Change Story
My nickname is Beam. I am 18 years old, currently in Grade6, studying Chinese language at a school in Pai Province. I live with my father and mother and my older sister. I want to thank you the Lord for giving me the opportunity to be part of the Saturday School program since i was in Grade1. At that time, I had just moved from Chaiyaphum province, and I didn’t know anyone. I was shy and awkward, but every week, I had the chance to participate in activities and play with the other kids who came here. From being strangers, we became friends. It’s amazing how, in just a few days, I’ll be finishing Grade 6. Time really flies, and next year, I’ll be heading to university.
I am grateful to the Lord for bring me here, giving me the chance to participate in activities and receive guidance in planning for my future education. Since Grade 3, the Light Center (Saturday school) has invited various speakers to share to us, providing advice and inspiration. After that, older students who were part of the Saturday School program would come and offer advice on choosing a major, creating a portfolio for university applications, financial planning, applying for scholarships and more. The school also recommended scholarship opportunities from various organizations or foundation to help ease the financial burden for students.
One thing that impressed me was the availability of counselling and assistance, and the Lord has prepared everything for me. I am now able to pass the university entrance exam and have been accepted into Maejo University, majoring in Agricultural Production, Faculty of Agriculture, under the Bachelor of Science program. I would like to thank you Operation Blessing Foundation (Thai) for supporting such beneficial activities for kids like me in Pai Province. Without the Saturday School program, I might no have received guidance on how to plan for my future. I am grateful to everyone who has supported and prayed for me. Thank you all.
