Scholarships for Intelligent but Needy Students

Jennifer is studying in grade 10. She is a resident of Chak No. 424 JB ,Distt Toba Tek Singh. She belongs to a poor family. She also helps her parents in their work. Her father works as a labor in the field for a landlord and hardly meets the daily needs of the family and therefore was unable to afford her academic expenses. The financial situation of the family is worse. She wanted to continue her studies to buildup a bright future for her and her family. Even at one situation she had to leave her school living and started helping her parents in daily chores. She said "My father could not afford my school expenses.One day ,Rev Fr Simon (Director Society for Human Development) visited my house and saw our economical situation and he also inquired about me staying at home. I shared with him the entire situation which we were facing and told him. He told me about the scholarships by SHd for the needy and deserving students and asked me to apply for it. After contacting SHD, I received the scholarship and now I am able to continue my study. I am going to school everyday and i wish to become a doctor after completing my studies. I am very thankful to all staff of Society for Human Development who supported me to get back to my studies".
