Dear PFK Supporters,
It is with a heavy heart that we share that we are still unable to re-launch our mission trip in Myanmar.
Our contacts in the local community continue to stress the danger in visiting this beloved country due to the political upheaval and violence of the civil war. A few weeks ago a bomb fell from the skies killing 168 innocent villagers, including many children.
We pray for the people of Myanmar our PFK Myanmar Family and most of all the children.
We will continue to update you, and pray that we can return soon to a safe and peaceful country, and support our children with the education they deserve.
Best,

We miss our Myanmar Angels!
Dear PFK Friends,
We hope the new year has started off well for all of you, and that you had a great holiday season!
Please know, sadly, the situation in Myanmar has not changed much since our last report. One of our school partners has informed us that they are still not able open for the local children...they are a privately funded small school which educates disadvantaged children, whose parents cannot afford the public school fees. That said, we are researcing with our other partners to see if we can return this year and bring our gifts of backpacks filled with scool supplies to our kids...we know they need our assistance, and we miss them very much.
We remain positive in our belief that we can return soon and support our wonderful children.
We will keep you posted and hope that our next report is filled with good news!
Best,

Myanmar Mission Update
By Retta Jitner | Founder & CEO
Dear PFK Friends,
We hope this finds our community of friends and donors well.
Sadly, our update on Myanmar and our efforts to provide backpacks filled with school supplies and a school uniform continue to be on-hold due to the political crisis in the country and safety issues. While the country has recently opened it's border for foreigners to visit, we have been in consult wiht our local team and have been advised not to return...just yet. The locations of our orphan homes and schools are in areas outside of Yangon that are still quite dangerous, and we not only would not be allowed to drive there to distribute our gifts, but lives would be in jeapordy.
The safety of our team is our priority, and we are hoping in the next few months that the situation will get better and we can return.
Please keep our children in Myanmar and all our team in your prayers.
We miss our beautiful kids, our wonderful team, and our generous sponsors very much, and hope to return soon.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best,
Retta
