Once again it is so heartening to see students resuming their studies in their classrooms! We welcomed them back to school on 7 June 2021 following the notification from the school education department, with conditions that only 50% students would attend classes on a given day and no student would attend classes for two consecutive days. As they return, our first priority is ensuring observance and compliance of COVID-19 SOPs
Pakistan is among the countries that have been implementing full school closure policies, resulting in severe consequences on students' learning opportunities. Our students mostly rely on the physical setting of their schools to provide them guidance. Putting the focus back on learning and assessing student learning has been a major task for our teachers as the process of assessing student learning is now the key in ensuring learning continues to take place as students are back in the classroom, in terms of what they know and are able to do as they return to school, so as to adjust their instruction to students’ level. Our 9th and 10th graders are working hard and preparing for their standardized exams as they will be assessed on the basis of elective subjects and math this year. We wish them best of luck.
We are very grateful to all our donors for standing with us during these uncertain times and helping us to manage the instability caused by Covid-19 crisis.
