Subject: Giving the Gift of peace of mind
Here at the St. Cyril Cancer Treatment Foundation, we are excitedly gearing up for the December holiday season. As we move towards a new year, we’re having a rough few months planning a clinic location transition but we will conquer with our usual grace and fortitude.
UICC Nomination
In the past few weeks, we have inaugurated a new board of trustees whom we will introduce to our GlobalGiving community in due course. We would like to celebrate with one of our board members, Dr. Kingsley Ndoh.
Dr. Ndoh was selected by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) as one of eight aspiring young cancer control professionals to nurture over the next 12 months to become successful and more effective leaders in cancer control and the wider global health community.
As beneficiaries of his generosity and professional support, The Foundation is honored to be part of his community and we wish him a hearty congratulations and wish him an abundance of luck with the training year.
Expansion Plans
Our Mission is to build self-sustaining standard cancer centers with investors who share our long term vision of a viable and profitable business that will attend to the millions of Africans.
To reach our goal of a regional treatment cluster within the SW region of Nigeria, we are soon breaking ground on our new treatment facility. It will include a Radiotherapy Department, Chemotherapy Suites, Mini theatre/Surgical unit, Palliative Care unit and Attachment services including Lab, Pharmacy and Radiology.
We look forward to sharing positive news as we move forward with these plans.
Support S.C.I.P.S. 2020
By 2030 it is estimated that the cancer occurrence and mortality rate will nearly double- 1.28million new cancer cases and 970,000 cancer deaths. Creative methods are required for patients and treatment funding.
St. Cyril Initiative for Patients’ Support (S.C.I.P.S.) is our innovative approach to challenge cancer mortality rates by helping more patients pay.
We have partnered with The Anne Thomas Project to develop Support S.C.I.P.S. 2020 a year-long fundraising campaign focused on raising $10,000 through collaborations and online campaigns. You can follow the journey on our social media channels (@treatcancernig).
The need for cancer treatment is self-evident. We are committed to making this difference and filling the need and we cannot do it without you.
Donate here and please share. We look forward to reaching this goal together. #SupportSCIPS2020
From all of us at St. Cyril, we wish you the happiest of holiday seasons.
Warmest regards
Moji
